The 26th Havana International Poetry Festival, jointly organized by the Cuba Poesía Cultural Center, the Writers Association, the Cuban Book Institute and the Ministry of Culture, has been held from 25 to 30, 2021. The event invited representative poets from all over the world to commemorate the 60th anniversary of the founding of the Union of Cuban Artists and Writers (UNEAC) and Fidel Castro's foundational Words to Intellectuals. Due to the new situation, the participating poets from all over the world connect to the scene of Havana International Poetry Festival in real time through Facebook. Some of them send their videos to the Organizing Committee in advance. These videos have 10 minutes for poetry recitation and 20 minutes for forums to reflect on poetry writing and the great challenges of our times. About 190 poets and 100 Cuban poets from 50 countries on five continents attended the Havana International Poetry Festival. Ten Chinese poets, including Jidi Majia, Yang Ke, Wang Jiaxin, Xiao Xiao, Qi Ren, Ai Zi, Wang Guilin, Cao Shui, Huang Fan and Yu Er, were invited to participate in the Havana International Poetry Festival.

The theme of this activity is "For Cuba Again". The event, under the Honorary Presidency of the great Cuban poet Nancy Morejon, National Prize for Literature, will include the usual readings of "Itinerant Cuba Poesía", "Verso amigo" and "Ismaelillo" (Jose Marti's representative work) for the promotion of reading among students, the Scripture Laboratory and the Meeting of Poets in Defense of Humanity.
It is reported that the Havana International Poetry Festival is one of the most influential poetry activities in the world, which began in 1996. The event was held by the great Cuban poet Nancy Morejon as honorary chairman, the famous Cuban poet Alex Pausides as chairman of the festival, and the famous poet Karel Leyva Ferrer, the chairman of the Poetry Section of the UNEAC, as chief coordinator of the festival.
