Poems by Zhi Dao

Translated by Bei Ta

When I Cant Think of You

When I think of you

I sip

The home brew blue wine of sugar palm

When I cant think of you

The fog is rippling around my closed eyes

Without a bit of love

I dont think of you, yet vainly read the rainforest and bird songs

The time is as heavy as lead

I am seated under the pergola, listening to the rain and watching the sea

You are not here

You are not here, so the sea stretches itself

With whose song and dance is the South Asia drunken

I want to return, yet there is no sail shadow outside the window

You are not here

The boat is as empty as a wine cup

Invitation from the Sea

Invited by the Pacific

I went to Manado Garden to take a walk

The mild rainy pavilion was visited by the cool wind

Like a cup of cocktail wine

The phoenix flowers blossomed everywhere

While shy buds of the lilac hid themselves behind the leaves

Fruits of the sugar palm brewed wine in its own body

While coffee could not catch up with the rhythm of beauty

On the top of the small gentle slope

There is a big tree full of green fruits

The two fallen ones on the ground have been completely ripe

Tempting you to get the idea of tasting it

Today, all things are narcissistic

The black eagle is singing and dancing over my head

With its wings rightly paralleling with my shoulders

Let me retrospect the Mediterranean

Not all the young people are nude in the Eden

If you let me guess, I will not say it is apple
