Message

Mom, I came when you were out.

I knew the key was still placed in the interstice

Between the wall and the mailbox.

I examined the floor under the wardrobe and found the

secret

You took out and hid back every night,

A camphor case. I meant to take away the bank deposit book,

But soon I recognized the cloth

That wrapped your treasure had once swaddled me.

Washed and ironed so neat, it's still fresh after so many

years.

Mom, I thought you were nothing but a stubborn, cold vixen.

I leave this message, just to let you know I came

But moved nothing. And I, yes I, am still swaddled in the

cloth.

Pig Kill Plan

The pig has not been killed

I'll work it out first

A list of people to eat meat

A long string

Finally write

People who help kill pigs

All the same a long list

But on this list

Only no pig

of course

It doesn't have a name

of its own

(Tr. by He Qingzi)

A baby crying on the train

The train is going

A baby crying

Go all the way

Cry all the way

When he not crying

The car stopped

The women holding the children

Got off

The train went on

No child crying

Only the train woo woo woo

Like a large group of adults, ,crying together

No one took them off

No one

Breast milk stuffed with snow white and sweet

Into their mouths

And nobody knows

This group of grown-up abandoned babies

Will be brought

To anywhere
