The Rock Climber

Single on a steep cliff

Vertical to the limit

A freehand rock climber is taking a risk

A bird's wings fluttering,a slight sighing

a careless mistake , or even a reason without a cause

could make him fall off the cliff

and turn into silent dust

Life or death

even love and everything related or unrelated

can't stop him

from ascending the isolated peak

Under the mountain, he is usually shy and ineloquent

without having done anything great

But on the cliff ,he is absolutely brave so that he confirms his mission

with his potential power  

Icarus in flight

is a life in full bloom on the precipice

An unprotected climber’s  joy

is only known by the wildflowers blooming on clouds

Liu Yage, female,was born in Beijing, had been a student of the second senior research class for the young and middle-aged writers of Laoshe College of Arts. She is the author of "Self-driving To The Arctic". She had won the Chinese Young Poet Award, the second prize of the competition of the World Chinese Nursery Rhyme and Poetry for Children, the second prize of the poetry competition of Zhangjiajie International Poetry Festival , the third prize of China Treasure Cup national poetry and prose competition, and the best poetess award of the net Everyone's Literature.
