My Mother’s Spinning Wheel
My nursery rhymes
Highlighted mum’s local accent
Beat-up old spinning wheel
And dim light
Hard-working silhouette
Spinning wheel kept turning
Witnessing sunset and bright moon
Seeing golden rape seed flower
Experiencing winter wheat
Marking snow outside the window
Recording the passing horse galloping
And the alighting cotton velvet
Carrying her deep love
Reflecting rural warmth and poverty
Blurring her vision full of bitterness
Mom spun life and me
Leaving me childhood memories
Constantly stimulating and blazing
After long waiting
I went to the far south
Repaying the Silk Road
And recalling rural love and affection
Mum’s spinning wheel
Like an old phonograph
Composing Spinning Goddess Huang Daopo
